Make the Trend your Friend – From Action I Learn

One of the most rewarding aspects of publishing your own magazine is the opportunity to meet and learn from individuals who employ diverse and unconventional strategies.

For example, my longtime friend Amy Porterfield transitioned from being a creative director for Tony Robbins to becoming one of the world’s leading authorities on building online businesses. Similarly, Jenna Lloyd introduced me to an innovative concept that bridges biology and business—something I’d never considered before.

Chris Voss, a world-class FBI negotiator, has significantly enhanced my active listening skills through his strategies.

And in our next issue, my friend, Chad Jenkins, will be featured as he is unlocking the code on an new way to collaborate using AI as a friend.

What I’ve noticed from many contributors is that they’ve discovered a unique niche and embraced emerging trends, which propelled them into leadership roles.

Success leaves clues.

For much of my career, I’ve followed a “late adopter” approach. My KOLBE assessment revealed my natural mode of operation: conducting thorough research, assessing probabilities, and relying on historical evidence. While this strategy has served me well, meeting world-class leaders taught me that they often adopt trends quickly, “building the plane as it’s flying.”

Instead of resisting trends, they embrace them as allies.

Take the AI Revolution, for example—it’s reshaping industries from all directions. I realized that resisting this trend would limit my ability to serve my clients and team effectively. The challenge was to merge AI’s capabilities with what I call “Real AI”—Authentic Interactions.

Through my last sales role at Oracle, I developed a process combining AI tools with authentic interaction, relationship-building, called the A to I Sales Strategy. My final sale at Oracle, a 14-month process, exemplified this approach. It required managing numerous stakeholders while using AI tools to advance through various stages.

Another shared trait among these thought leaders is their mindset: they approach challenges with “Yes, and” instead of “Yes, but.”

In my transition to entrepreneurship, I’ve embraced emerging trends, taken decisive action, and learned through both successes and failures. Adopting the mantra “From Action, I Learn“ has allowed me to grow personally and professionally faster.

FAIL

Failing early and often has been crucial in compressing the timeframes to achieve my business and personal goals. These strategies are helping me fast-track my 2025 objective: building a thriving, self-managing seven figure company.

As you pursue your 2025 objectives, remember to make industry trends your ally and learn from your actions.

The journey to a limitless life starts by embracing uncertainty, recognizing the possibilities that new trends offer, and uncovering the opportunities within them. Take decisive action to discover what works and what doesn’t, sparking the transformation that will propel you forward.

From Action, I Learn.
