Leaders Inspiring for Tomorrow (LIFTx) is a U.S. Air Force leadership and resiliency event designed to connect the military and civilian force with influencers who can reach hearts and minds.
When USO offered to support LIFTx by bringing Dave Sanderson, we knew it would be great. But we did not anticipate just how deeply Dave’s story and testimony would connect. Dave effectively reached 19,000 Soldiers, Sailors, Marines, and Airmen with a message that challenged, brought hope, and inspired! Dave’s captivating testimony and profound takeaways will nourish the success of our members for a lifetime.
On behalf of my Fayetteville Arkansas Chamber of Commerce colleagues, the 2015 NWA LEADERCON (Northwest Arkansas Business Leadership Conference) Steering Committee, participants and volunteers, and keynote sponsor Centennial Bank, I wanted to take this opportunity and again thank you for your extraordinarily compassionate, inspirational and motivational presentation shared at our third annual gathering this past Thursday.
As former Walmart President & CEO Mike Duke, recipient of this year’s Don Soderquist Servant Leadership Award, stated at the event, a true leader must exhibit three key attributes: high integrity, humility and an unwavering dedication to the Golden Rule – treating others as one would like to be treated. You truly exemplify these traits, not just through the courage shown on US Airways Flight 1549 (the “Miracle on the Hudson”) but through your ongoing efforts to help others create their own Flight Plan for appreciating, living and valuing life to the fullest.
In organizing our LEADERCON Program for 2015, we researched many great authors, speakers, etc. During this process, we were impressed by the number of peer referrals you received, and believe that you definitely delivered, meeting and exceeding all expectations. I also ran across a great quote by John Quincy Adams, that to me pretty well meshes your vision with our conference mission, “If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader.”
It was indeed our honor and pleasure to host you, get to know you and work with you and your excellent staff toward providing area leaders with an exceptional opportunity for both personal and professional development. To learn from and reflect upon your experience and how we can apply those lessons in a broader sense to our everyday lives, positively impacting ourselves, our loved ones and others, is a wonderful gift and one that shall be forever treasured.
We sincerely appreciate you and all you do, wish you much continued success with your journey, and ask that you please not hesitate to contact us whenever we may return the favor and be of assistance.
Dave Sanderson gave a leadership presentation at our recent regional managers meeting. His story and how he survived a harrowing experience gave our managers a great lesson on how to think clearly in a difficult and chaotic situation. The process Dave taught helped us to be able to sort out the unproductive thought process and showed us how to keep your mind focused on the mission ahead. The steps he gave us were easy to remember and something we can readily use in our everyday dealings with our clients, agents, employees, families, and friends. We thank Dave for bringing his leadership message and guide to our group and we wish him all the best in bringing that message to other groups as well
We recently had Dave Sanderson visit and speak with our team of 30+ office leaders (covering the tri-state area) on the topic of Mission Focused Leadership. I would recommend Dave and this program to anyone in a position of senior leadership, as it is helpful in achieving a unified mindset among divergent groups. Of particular interest to me was the explanations around “Sully’s Decision Making Process” as well as “the Six Primary Reasons People Do What they Do.” In these concepts, diverse teams can discover commonality of experience and commonality of purpose. I believe that it is these qualities that most sets Dave’s program apart from others that I have experienced.
Thank you Dave, for bringing this excellent program to Long and Foster!
Most of us have attended a number of inspirational and motivational events. All are good in their own right and have the ability to entertain and make us feel something. A great speaker not only entertains and evokes emotion but creates a lasting impact. A great speaker’s words and lessons are easily applicable and transferrable to the listener’s life.
The amazing story of Dave Sanderson is what draws you in but it’s the personal connection he makes that is the true difference. As the keynote speaker for our association event, he captivated the group as he related the events of The Miracle on the Hudson and then challenged and inspired each individual to examine the lessons learned and correlate them to their personal experiences. The real impetus is how relatable Dave is. Rather than just hearing an incredible story, the listener finds themselves in Dave’s shoes and questions not only what they personally would have done in that moment but, more importantly, how that would affect who they are and what they do today.
A month later, I am still receiving positive feedback from our members and stories of the impact the session had on them personally. Dave Sanderson is a great speaker and an amazing man. Thank you for sharing your gift and inspiring us all to view our personal missions in a new way.
On behalf of the Atlanta Association of Health Underwriters, I want to thank you for your contribution to our Benefits Forum for 2015. Your participation in our Benefits Forum as a speaker added to the quality, depth and relevancy of the content we were able to provide to our members. Your content was unmatched and very well received by those attending your session.
The information you shared provided insight, value, as well as, foresight into the industry of healthcare during the era of the Affordable Care Act. You delivered your information in practical terms that allows our Agents to implement into their practices which will enable them to add value to their client base. And for that reason, I sincerely thank you.
What began as normal day in Dave’s life turned into an inspirational story. His story is uplifting to the human spirit. Dave is a charismatic and heartfelt communicator, Dave had our attention and tugged at our emotions with the real-life photos and his words. He was a hero that day and it changed his life forever – he was able to realize how much he wanted to pursue helping others. I loved when he shared this, because sometimes we work and aren’t passionate about what we do – now he gets to work and be passionate about he does as a representative for the Red Cross – an organization that he personally felt helped all the crash victims that day and days to come. It was a memorable and exciting experience for all of us!
Dave Sanderson captivated his audience with his authentic story. He was our speaker in November for our eWomenNetwork Networking event. After introducing Dave, I sat in the back of the room and witnessed an engaging presentation about his experience after the plane he was on went down in the Hudson River. All eyes were on him as he gave heroic details and personal connections about those who survived with him after the accident. Dave is an amazing person with a brave heart. He touched our hearts with his own dramatic story of the ‘Miracle on the Hudson’. Thank you, Dave, for being our speaker and now our friend.
I wanted to reach out to you and thank you very much for taking time out of your schedule to speak at the eWomen Network luncheon. Your story is very powerful and gives great confirmation to the fact that we all have purpose on earth.
When Dave Sanderson finished speaking at the LIDMA Annual Conference it was clear that his message was powerful and resonated with everyone in the audience by the standing ovation he received. Not only does Dave have an incredible story based upon his experiences, but he is inspiring, motivational, engaging and has a great sense of humor!
Dave’s stage presence and presentation style are outstanding for a closing keynote session. I say closing as opening with Dave would simply be a tough act to follow for anyone! Dave is also genuinely a great guy, opening himself to questions and taking the time to interact with event attendees throughout his time there.
We highly recommend Dave Sanderson for your next meeting, conference or convention regardless of the industry you are in. His message reaches beyond industries and affirms belief in the human spirit!
Dave Sanderson was the perfect addition to our end of year celebration. He was very engaging and an inspiration to everyone. He reminded us all that we have it within ourselves to do great things. Thank you for taking the time to speak to us.”
Dave is an excellent presenter – very personable to both organizer and audience. It was truly a pleasure to meet him.
